Radiation Therapist Job Summary

Ascension is seeking a skilled Radiation Therapist to join our team. As a Radiation Therapist, you will administer radiation therapy to patients, ensuring accurate and safe treatment plans are followed. Your expertise will be crucial in delivering high-quality patient care and maintaining a clean and safe department.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer radiation therapy to patients, following prescribed treatment plans.
  • Prepare and position patients for treatment, ensuring accurate anatomic parameters.
  • Maintain detailed records of all therapy sessions.
  • Adjust and maintain necessary equipment, including linear accelerators.
  • Ensure all activities comply with regulatory agency standards.

Requirements:

  • BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire date.
  • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiation Therapy credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) within 2 years of hire date.
  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience or Associate's degree/Technical degree or 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience.
