Job Summary:

Radiation Therapist - Radiation Oncology Specialist

Administer radiation therapy by exposing specific areas of the patient's body to prescribed doses of radiation. Prepare and position patients and select anatomic parameters accurately. Deliver appropriate patient treatment plan in collaboration with physician and dosimetrist. Maintain detailed records of all therapy sessions. Maintain and adjust necessary equipment, including linear accelerator. Ensure all activities comply with regulatory agency standards. Ensure prompt submission of high-quality images and documents sent to PACS. Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly department.

Responsibilities:

Administer radiation therapy to patients according to prescribed treatment plans.
Prepare and position patients for radiation therapy sessions.
Select anatomic parameters accurately to ensure proper treatment delivery.
Maintain detailed records of all therapy sessions, including patient data and treatment plans.
Maintain and adjust necessary equipment, including linear accelerators, to ensure proper function and safety.
Ensure all activities comply with regulatory agency standards, including those related to patient safety and radiation exposure.
Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly department, including procedure rooms, storage areas, and dressing rooms.

Requirements:

BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire date required.
Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiation Therapy credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) within 2 years of hire date required.
High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience or Associate's degree/Technical degree or 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience required.
