Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Sales Associate to join our team at Goodwill of Colorado. As a Sales Associate, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a well-stocked and organized sales floor, and operating a point-of-sale cash register system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers in a welcoming manner and responding timely and professionally to customer inquiries.
  • Maintain a clean and organized sales floor by regularly cleaning and organizing shelves and racks, picking items up off the floor, and putting away product from racks, carts, or baskets.
  • Operate a point-of-sale cash register system to ensure quality of product and pricing is accurate at the time of purchase.
  • Assist customers with questions, concerns, and purchases.
  • Follow all retail center policies and procedures.
  • Follow all safety processes and procedures to help provide a safe working environment for employees and customers.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • One (1) year of retail sales or cash handling experience preferred.
  • Must be accurate with numbers and general calculations and understand the value of different coins and US currency.
  • Must be able to use basic math such as adding, subtracting, and multiplication.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate with customers, managers, supervisors, staff, and peers.
  • Must be able to operate a computer-based cash register and credit card machine.
  • Must be able to withstand prolonged standing, bending, and lifting up to eight (8) hours per day.
Physical Requirements
  • Continuously (5-8 hours): Standing, walking, and reaching.
  • Frequently (3-4 hours): Lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling.
  • Occasionally (1-2 hours): Kneeling, crawling, and climbing.
