**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced nursing faculty member to join our team at Education Affiliates. As an adjunct/part-time nursing faculty, you will be responsible for teaching students in a clinical setting and providing instruction on various nursing topics.

Salary: $60,000 per year (estimated)

Responsibilities:

  • Teach courses or workshops to meet program learning objectives
  • Work effectively as part of the overall faculty team, collaborating with other faculty members to meet student needs
  • Participate in the budget process to identify resources needed to meet program outcomes
  • Contribute to ongoing program evaluation activities and confer with the Dean/Director of Nursing to ensure compliance with Education Affiliates policies
  • Develop and provide EA-formatted syllabi that set forth measurable grading criteria and encourage timely assignments
  • Maintain academic standards and course expectations throughout each course or workshop
  • Communicate with the Dean/Director of Nursing as necessary to resolve issues or concerns
  • Lead discussions and elicit information from students to demonstrate their understanding of course material
  • Utilize multiple teaching methods and techniques, including audio/visual aids and group activities
  • Provide feedback to students on grammar and syntax, paper format, and the use of proper formatting
  • Prepare students for the NCLEX exam by implementing the Evolve Success Program (ESP) and Kaplan Review materials
  • Provide annual documentation of continuing professional growth
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Nursing from an approved program
  • Four years of experience in a clinical setting as a registered nurse
  • Current active unencumbered license as a registered nurse in Virginia or multi-state privilege to practice
  • Previous higher education/postsecondary teaching experience preferred but not required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to carry out classroom, clinical, and laboratory teaching responsibilities
  • Competence in clinical skills in areas of teaching
  • Functional abilities in computer applications: word processing, spreadsheet, database, and email

Benefits:

This is a part-time position with varied hours, including evenings and weekends. Travel is not required, and the working environment is interior/offices.
