Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.

  • Proficient in navigating office software systems, with a typing speed of at least 50 words per minute.
  • Accurate data entry skills, including attention to grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.

Physical and Mental Requirements

  • Ability to use office equipment such as keyboards, calculators, and telephones.
  • Capable of bending and reaching for files and supplies, as well as mobility for completing errands.
  • Comfortable sitting for extended periods while performing computer tasks and answering phone inquiries.
  • Proficient in using various office equipment, including computers, faxes, and printers.
  • Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 40 pounds.
  • Willingness to travel to different locations as needed.
  • Work environment is primarily office-based with moderate exposure to common illnesses.
  • Requires a high level of accuracy and speed in task execution.

Standard Qualifications
Education: A background in medical scheduling is preferred.
Experience: At least one year of experience in a medical practice, ideally within a healthcare setting. Familiarity with medical terminology and office equipment is advantageous.

  • Proficient computer and typing skills with a focus on accuracy.
  • Experience with medical terminology is a plus.
