Responsibilities
You will deliver exceptional quality in all tasks and treat others with respect. You are a results-driven team player who is adept at overcoming challenges. You are a creative problem solver who excels in a fast-paced environment.
You will be responsible for continuously monitoring and ensuring timely responses to alarms. You will verify the accurate identification of basic rhythms, critical rhythms, and artifacts; maintain EKG monitor alarms, and respond to all alerts as necessary.
- Continuously observe all assigned monitors and respond to alarms promptly and effectively.
- Perform EKG interpretations, including: rate, regularity, PRI, QRS, QTI, QTc, ST segment, waveform alterations, and rhythm analysis.
- Ensure that strip interpretations are validated by a registered nurse.
Qualifications
You are detail-oriented and organized, with a strong focus on customer service as a team member.
Minimum Requirements:
- Must complete and pass EKG training for Monitor Technicians and required competencies on the educational platform within 30 days of starting the position, along with passing other tests/competencies as required by Select Medical.
Preferred Qualifications for Success:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Preferred background as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Licensed Paramedic, or RN nursing student with EKG training (LPNs are limited to working as telemetry technicians only).
