Electrical Systems Specialist
At SafeTouch Security, we are seeking a skilled and experienced Electrical Systems Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install electrical systems, including wiring, lighting, outlets, circuit breakers, and panels.
- Maintain and repair existing electrical systems to ensure they are functioning correctly and safely.
- Install and maintain specialized electrical equipment such as generators, transformers, and motors.
- Diagnose electrical issues using appropriate testing devices.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical malfunctions to ensure minimal downtime.
- Provide solutions to electrical problems to meet client needs and safety standards.
- Ensure all electrical installations comply with local and national electrical codes (e.g., NEC).
- Follow safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Stay up-to-date with current safety regulations and electrical standards.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and schematics to determine the layout of electrical systems.
- Plan and execute electrical installations according to project specifications.
- Communicate with clients to understand their electrical needs and provide appropriate solutions.
- Offer guidance and recommendations on electrical system upgrades and improvements.
- Provide accurate estimates for the cost and time required for electrical projects.
- Manage and complete electrical projects within deadlines and budget constraints.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople, contractors, and team members to ensure the successful completion of projects.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including materials used and time spent on each job.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of an electrician apprenticeship program helpful.
- State-issued electrician license or certification helpful.
- Proven experience as an electrician in residential, commercial, or industrial settings.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and safety protocols.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams.
- Proficient in using electrical tools and testing devices (e.g., voltmeters, ammeters, oscilloscopes).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Good communication skills and customer service orientation.
- Physical ability to lift heavy equipment, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.
- Ability to pass drug screening and background requirements.
- Valid driver's license and insurance-approved driving record. Maintain less than 3 points on fleet driving policy.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with specialized electrical systems such as HVAC controls, fire alarms, or data cabling.
- Familiarity with energy-efficient and renewable energy systems (e.g., solar panels).
- Experience with electrical project management and coordination.
Working Conditions:
- Ability to work in various environments, including indoors, outdoors, and at heights.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and on-call hours as needed.
- Travel to different job sites as required.
