Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and adaptable Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our Float Pool team at Beebe Healthcare. As a CNA, you will provide essential care to patients across various units within the healthcare facility, adapting to different environments and patient needs with professionalism and ease.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct care to patients in accordance with their individualized care plans
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, oral care, dressing, grooming, and toileting
  • Assist in transportation and transfer of patients, ensuring comfort and safety during movement
  • Monitor and record vital signs, intake and output, and other patient data, reporting any abnormalities or concerns to the nursing team
  • Accuchecks completed as directed
  • Accurate and prompt documentation
  • Assist with patient hygiene and comfort measures, including turning and repositioning patients to prevent pressure ulcers
  • Support patients with feeding and hydration needs, adhering to dietary restrictions and assisting with mealtime activities
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure continuity of care and promote positive patient outcomes
  • Complete hourly rounds to assigned patients and anticipate patient needs, responding promptly to call lights and patient requests
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families, demonstrating empathy and compassion in all interactions
Requirements
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-stress environment
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in DE
  • BLS Basic Life Saving Certification
  • High school diploma preferred or current high school student with CNA license (work schedule in compliance with the State of Delaware Department of Labor Regulations)
