Certified Nursing Assistant ICU

At Beebe Healthcare, we are seeking a skilled Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team in the ICU department.
Job Summary:We are looking for a compassionate and detail-oriented Certified Nursing Assistant to provide high-quality patient care in our ICU department. As a Certified Nursing Assistant, you will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse to provide direct care to patients, assist with activities of daily living, and maintain a clean and organized patient environment.
Responsibilities:- Provide direct care to patients in accordance with their individualized care plans
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, oral care, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Assist in transportation and transfer of patients, ensuring comfort and safety during movement
- Monitor and record vital signs, intake and output, and other patient data, reporting any abnormalities or concerns to the nursing team
- Accuchecks completed as directed
- Accurate and prompt documentation
- Assist with patient hygiene and comfort measures, including turning and repositioning patients to prevent pressure ulcers
- Support patients with feeding and hydration needs, adhering to dietary restrictions and assisting with mealtime activities
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure continuity of care and promote positive patient outcomes
- Completes hourly rounds to assigned patients and anticipates patient needs
- Responding promptly to call lights and patient requests
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families, demonstrating empathy and compassion in all interactions
- Maintain a clean and organized patient environment, including changing bed linens, stocking supplies, and ensuring cleanliness of patient rooms, and preparing rooms for admissions and transfers
- Adhere to infection control protocols and hospital policies and procedures to maintain a safe and sanitary environment for patients and staff
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-stress environment
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Clear Communication Skills Both Written and Verbal
- Able to Keep Confidential Information Regarding Patients, Team Members
- Able to Withstand Crisis Situations
- Has Skills to Provides Customer Service to Patients, Team Members and Visitors
- Knowledge And Experience with Electronic Health Records
- Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in DE
- BLS - Basic Life Saving Certification
- High school diploma preferred OR current high school student with CNA license (work schedule in compliance with the State of Delaware Department of Labor Regulations)
