About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Operations Manager to join our team at Black & Decker. As a key member of our T&O Global Supply Chain team, you will be responsible for overseeing all facilities and production maintenance needs, ensuring that all safety and quality requirements are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and direct the efforts of maintenance and facilities team members to achieve daily manufacturing work schedules, driving team members to meet or exceed all goals of safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
- Take a lead role in troubleshooting plant-wide problems, determining and coordinating resources needed for problem resolution.
- Responsible for work assignments of team members, including overtime work schedules and overtime management of assigned departments as approved through supervision.
- Responsible for on-the-job training of team members within assigned departments.
- Responsible for daily, weekly, and monthly documentation of assigned work area as it pertains to 5S and safety audits, efficiency reporting, SPC reporting, scrap reporting, maintenance work orders, and DMR maintenance.
- Responsible for scheduling department work centers and equipment to meet departmental output per 13-week schedules.
- Demonstrate Level 3 machinist skills in all areas of the department assigned.
- Facilitate team meetings for communication, implementation of continuous improvement in areas of safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
- Work closely with area supervisor for talent management and conflict resolution.
- Interact with site contractors to complete special project tasks, satisfying internal and external customer and supplier needs.
- Interface with local power company in the event of a storm or other electrical outages.
- Contractor management, including all EHS compliance, project scope, and scheduling.
About You:
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Maintenance Operations Manager who is passionate about delivering exceptional results and driving continuous improvement. You will have a strong background in maintenance and production operations, with a proven track record of success in a supervisory role.
Requirements:
- High school degree or equivalent.
- 3+ years of supervisory experience.
- 1+ years supporting manufacturing/production environments, preferred.
- Prior work experience in a trade discipline such as electrical, HVAC, plumbing, etc., preferred.
- Demonstrated experience with electrical and mechanical industrial maintenance, including equipment installation.
- Level 3 machinist skills in all areas of the department assigned.
- Computer literate and proficient with Microsoft Office programs and Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) programs.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing concepts, a plus.
