Job Summary

Martin Construction Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager/Estimator to join our team. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for managing the bid process and overseeing the completion of projects from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the bid process for industrial, government, state, city, and private projects, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
  • Attend periodic meetings with clients, engineers, and other stakeholders to discuss project progress and requirements.
  • Maintain positive relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers through effective communication and project management.
  • Assist in preparing detailed cost estimates by analyzing plans and specifications, and performing quantity take-offs.
  • Develop and manage subcontractor relationships, including the Request for Proposal (RFP) process.
  • Prepare and manage project schedules, including critical path job schedules.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism, even in the face of aggressive deadlines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Construction Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • At least two years of experience in heavy highway civil construction, with a focus on project management and estimating.
  • Strong knowledge of estimating strategies, engineering disciplines, and cost control methods.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, with experience in bidding software a plus.
