Asphalt Paving Supervisor

Reeves Construction Company is seeking a highly skilled Asphalt Paving Foreman to join their team in Duncan, SC. The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on safety excellence and be able to lead a team to achieve exceptional results.
Main Responsibilities- Supervise all phases of a paving operation, including equipment maintenance, employee supervision, and product distribution.
- Implement environmental, health, and safety regulations and policies, ensuring compliance with local, state, and government requirements.
- Maintain and repair equipment, ensuring it is serviced, lubricated, and in good working order.
- Plan, organize, and coordinate daily activities and work assignments for the team.
- Manage deliveries, productions, record-keeping, and report creation using email and fax with Word and Excel.
- Understand the dangers involved in an interstate operation and take necessary precautions.
- Recognize potential problems before breakdowns occur and take corrective action.
- Work safely and follow company policies and procedures.

Required Education and Experience- A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.
- 5+ years of experience in Asphalt Paving is necessary.
- Ability to read and interpret documents, including safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed instructions.
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
The physical demands of this job include:
- Climbing onto and up and down a machine several times a day.
- Sitting in a machine and operating it for several hours without stopping.
- Withstanding vibration from job site conditions and noise from other equipment.
- Using arms, hands, and feet in repetitive motions.
The work environment for this job includes:
- Moving mechanical parts.
- Outside weather conditions.
- Vibration.
- Fumes or airborne particles.
- Wet and/or humid conditions.
- High, precarious places.
- Toxic or caustic chemicals.
