Qualifications:- A minimum of five (5) years of expertise in commercial loan underwriting is required. Experience in loan restructuring, commercial asset management, and SBA financing is advantageous.
- Proficient in the analysis of individual and corporate tax documentation.
- A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is preferred.
- Exceptional analytical and mathematical abilities are crucial.
- Meticulous attention to detail, along with outstanding organizational and analytical capabilities, is essential for independent work.
- Strong negotiation skills are necessary.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
- Evaluate and underwrite new commercial loans in accordance with the organization's lending standards.
- Review and assess various due diligence materials, including personal financial statements, rent rolls, income and expense reports, credit histories, and documents from borrowing entities.
- Conduct property inspections prior to loan approval when deemed necessary.
- Analyze third-party assessments such as appraisals, environmental studies, building code violation reports, and title documents.
- Prepare credit memoranda for review by management and/or the Board of Trustees.
- Serve as a liaison between the commercial lending division and the legal department to resolve any loan closing challenges.
- Work closely with Commercial Mortgage Loan Processors and Commercial Loan Officers to ensure the smooth progression of assigned loans through the underwriting and closing phases, providing assistance in resolving issues.
- Offer guidance and support to Commercial Mortgage Loan Processors regarding underwriting issues.
- Stay informed about market trends in real estate and changes in regulations pertinent to commercial lending.
