The role involves preparing dosage forms and prescriptions to the point of final check approval by the pharmacist, maintaining drug inventory and patient records, and distributing medications throughout the facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist pharmacists in preparing pharmaceutical dosage forms
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date drug inventory and patient records

  • Perform tasks under the supervision of a registered pharmacist
Requirements
  • High School Graduate or equivalent
  • Illinois registration as a Pharmacy Technician, and Missouri registration if applicable
  • Certification by the National Pharmacy Technician Certification Board or equivalent
