About the Job

Provide the necessary engineering and technical support to continuously improve plant equipment integrity, reliability, cost, and economic performance across the facilities. Position will also support existing process troubleshooting efforts for design improvements and new regulatory or customer requirements while providing facilities support.

Responsibilities
  • Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE): Ability to safely operate independently while adhering to all company SOPs and complying with all applicable Federal, State, and Corporate environmental, safety and health regulations.
  • Reliability Engineering: Manage all preventative maintenance activities across the operations, including developing and tracking metrics to evaluate progress and incorporating the program into the overall Lean Initiative.
  • Facilities: Perform inspection and maintenance in a PSM/RMP regulated facility, perform maintenance support for general facility needs, project-based work, and equipment repairs.
About You

BS in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or Related degree with +2 years of experience or MS in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or related degree with +2 years of experience in Maintenance Reliability or equivalent experience. 10 - 15+ years of experience pipefitting and in maintenance. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, excellent troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to manage multiple projects and priorities, strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact across all levels of the organization.

Proficient in working with stainless steel, PVC, CPVC, and other material used in the chemical industry. Must be able to read and interpret drawings, sketches, O.E.M. instructions and specifications. MRP (JDE preferred) and maintenance computer program experience required.

Desired, but not required skills and knowledge: Lean Manufacturing, Root Cause/Corrective Action Analysis, Cause and Effect Diagrams, ISO & SQF Standards.

Physical Requirements: Ability to sit, stand and climb stairs for up to 12 hours per day, ability to work in a warehouse facility where temperatures may range from 45 up to 105 degrees Fahrenheit; as well as work outside in all weather conditions. Occasional turning, twisting, stooping, bending, and reaching. Able to work in a non-smoking, tobacco-free site (if applicable). Ability to lift and carry up to 100 lbs. 10-20 feet up to 10 times/day; ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, frequently. Must be able to pull/push equipment and/or piping weighing up to 100 pounds into position for 1 -2 minutes up to 40 times a day. Able to climb ladders and work at heights up to 50 feet, on occasion. Ability to work in a warehouse facility where temperatures may range from 45 up to 105 degrees Fahrenheit; as well as work outside in all weather conditions; snow, rain, wind, and high humidity. Able to perform manual dexterity tasks. Ability to work in confined spaces. No exposed jewelry in body piercings when in a GMP production area. Ability to wear a respirator for up to 4 hours a day.
