Project Mechanical Engineer Role

At Page Southerland Page, we strive to deliver exceptional design services that make a positive impact on people's lives. We're seeking a highly skilled Project Mechanical Engineer to join our team of experts in architecture, engineering, interiors, and consulting services.

This role offers a unique opportunity to work on large, complex projects around the world, collaborating with a diverse team of professionals from various backgrounds and experiences. As a Project Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise in the execution of complicated, multi-discipline, and fast-track projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Senior Mechanical Engineer for mechanical engineering and design on projects;
  • Provide design in alignment with the firm's Quality Process Manual;
  • Coordinate with Project Managers for deliverables and Basis of Design;
  • Perform load calculations, systems design, cross-discipline coordination, and signing and sealing of contract documents;
  • Conduct LCCA Analysis;
  • Mentor junior engineers and participate in in-house continuing education programs;
  • Coordinate with Department Head and Focus Leads for resource allocation;
  • Manage the Construction Administration phase of a project, including submittal review, RFI responses, and site visit proficiency;
  • Have a strong working knowledge of Revit, including ductwork design, piping design, coordination of family creation, Revit Schedules, and sequences of operation;
  • Maintain an engaging, positive, and professional demeanor.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering;
  • 10+ years of engineering experience in the industrial design and construction industry, with a current Professional Engineers license in the U.S.;
  • Technical writing experience and proficiency;
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as the primary engineering interface with multiple clients;
  • Proficiency in MS Office products, including Word, Excel, and Outlook;
  • Proficiency in PDF tools such as Bluebeam Revu or Adobe Acrobat;
  • Proficiency in Autodesk Revit;
  • Proficiency in energy modeling using a IESVE or other current DOE-2 modeling software (ASHRAE 140 Compliant);
  • LEED AP preferred.
