Job Summary

Hi-Tek Manufacturing Inc. is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist Operator to join our team. As a CNC Machinist Operator, you will be responsible for operating CBN grinding machines to produce high-quality parts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate CBN Grinding Machines: Safely operate CBN grinding machines to produce parts that meet or exceed customer specifications.
  • Follow Quality Procedures: Follow all quality procedures, including the use of proper personal protective equipment (PPE), to ensure a safe and clean work environment.
  • Analyze and Interpret Data: Analyze and interpret operational sheets, blueprints, mechanical drawings, and travelers to produce parts that meet customer specifications.
  • Verify Conformance: Verify conformance of finished workpieces to customer specifications, using precision measuring tools and equipment as necessary.
  • Maintain Working Knowledge: Maintain working knowledge of CNC principles, including G and M codes, and rotary/linear axes.
  • Select and Secure Fixtures: Select, align, and secure fixtures, grinding wheels, and workpieces on machines as necessary to machine parts as required.
  • Analyze CMM Reports: Analyze, interpret CMM reports, and properly offset machine dimensions to meet customer specifications.
  • Perform Deburr Operations: Perform deburr operations to within specified tolerances.
  • Operate Overhead Crane: Operate overhead crane when necessary.
  • Report Labor Hours: Report proper labor hours in the ERP system.
  • Maintain a Safe Work Environment: Maintain a safe and clean work environment by performing daily housekeeping duties.
  • Run Multiple Machines: Capable of running multiple machines, when assigned.
  • Meet Physical Demands: Demonstrate the ability to lift 25 pounds occasionally and meet other physical demands of the job.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or GED required.
  • Experience: Duty-related experience or experience in milling or lathe required - Min 1 yr.
  • Math Skills: Ability to perform basic math functions.
  • Troubleshooting Skills: Troubleshooting/problem-solving skills.
  • Citizenship: Must be a United States Citizen, or a US Permanent Resident.
