Avera Queen of Peace is seeking a skilled Speech Language Pathology Assistant to join our team. As a Speech Language Pathology Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality speech and language therapy services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist Speech and Language Pathologists in delivering therapy services to patients with communication disorders.
  • Provide direct support to patients, including activities designed to develop pre-language and language skills, oral-motor control for speech production, and vocalization.
  • Serve as a receptionist and clerical support in outpatient therapy clinic settings.

Requirements:

  • Associates Degree from a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program or Bachelor's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders with a minimum of 70 hours field work/clinical experience from a board-approved program.
  • Licensed by the State of South Dakota as a Speech Language Pathology Assistant.
