Job Title: Radiology Technologist Trainee

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Radiology Technologist Trainee to join our team at Harborview Medical Center. As a Radiology Technologist Trainee, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic radiograph exams, transferring and positioning patients, and providing immobilization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform diagnostic radiograph exams as assigned by Lead or Supervisor
  • Transfer and position patients, and provide immobilization
  • Provide positioning devices as required and select proper technical factors and operate radiographic equipment
  • Operate Computed Radiography equipment, PACS, the Hospital information System, and the Radiology Information System
  • Implement downtime procedures as needed
  • Provide radiation protection prescribed by safety standards for patients, self, and other hospital personnel
  • Assist in administering contrast media
  • Provide education to patients and their families prior to and post radiology procedure
  • Review and QC own work with assistance from technologist
  • Maintain adequate computer and/or written records using the Radiology Information Systems
  • Help maintain a clean and well-stocked working environment
Requirements:
  • Current enrollment in a formal AMA-approved Radiologic Technology training program or equivalent education/experience
  • Registered as an X-Ray Technician by the State of Washington
