- Ensure the quality and accuracy of coding and abstracted information in compliance with federal and state regulations, government and contract payers, and grant funding.
- Work with students and coding interns as requested.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Completion of Coding Certificate program or Associate's Degree in Health Information Management required.
- Bachelor's Degree in Health Information Management preferred.
- Minimum two years of coding experience required, preferably in Inpatient coding and/or Outpatient Surgery coding.
- Certified Coding Specialist credential through AHIMA required.
