Electrochemist Materials Scientist

Volt Workforce Solution is a leading industry leader in the field of materials science. We are currently seeking a highly skilled Electrochemist Materials Scientist to join our team in Maplewood, MN.
This is a full-time position working a standard first shift schedule. As an Electrochemist Materials Scientist, you will be responsible for managing the research and development process queue for electrocatalysts. You will also convert design criteria into executable fabrication plans using standardized documentation processes aligned with established fabrication procedures. Additionally, you will oversee the flow of electrocatalyst materials through various stages, including fabrication, physical and chemical characterization, and electrochemical characterization.
Main Responsibilities:
- Manage the research and development process queue for electrocatalysts.
- Convert electrocatalyst design criteria into executable fabrication plans.

Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a Master of Science degree or 5 years of work experience in electrochemistry and/or electrocatalyst development. A minimum of 2 years' experience in a professional laboratory environment is also required. Preferred qualifications include a PhD degree in Chemical Engineering or Materials Science from an accredited institution, as well as relevant experience with vapor deposition methods, electrocatalysts, proton exchange membrane fuel cells, and water electrolyzers. Familiarity with characterization techniques such as X-Ray Fluorescence, X-Ray Diffraction, transmission electron microscopy, and electrochemical cell test methods is also beneficial.
Estimated Salary Range: $50-55 per hour based on education, work experience, location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
