Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Engineer to join our team at the Agency of Natural Resources, Public Drinking Water Program. As an Environmental Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and quality of drinking water for Vermont residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and optimize drinking water design plans through research, analysis, and site visits.
  • Collaborate with a team of engineers and scientists to identify and address water quality issues.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve drinking water treatment and distribution systems.
  • Provide technical and regulatory assistance to Vermont's public drinking water systems and their consultants.
  • Stay up-to-date with changing regulations and industry best practices.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in environmental, sanitary, chemical, water resources, civil, or mechanical engineering.
  • Five years or more of professional experience in environmental, sanitary, water resources, chemical, civil, or air pollution engineering.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
