Position Overview
The Evening Housekeeping Supervisor plays a pivotal role in leading a dedicated team of custodial staff across various facilities. This full-time position is essential in ensuring that cleanliness and service excellence are consistently upheld.
Key Responsibilities
The Supervisor will:
- Provide leadership and direction to the housekeeping team, ensuring that daily tasks are completed efficiently.
- Conduct inspections of work completed by staff, addressing any issues or complaints promptly.
- Assist in the training and onboarding of new team members, fostering a culture of professionalism and high standards.
- Manage supply inventory and assist with safety initiatives relevant to the role.
- Step in to oversee the housekeeping department in the absence of the Housekeeping Supervisor.
Cleaning Duties
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Maintaining floors through vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and periodic waxing.
- Cleaning windows, walls, and fixtures, ensuring all areas are presentable.
- Sanitizing and restocking restrooms, and managing waste disposal.
- Performing routine maintenance on cleaning equipment and addressing minor repairs.
- Collaborating with other departments to ensure seamless operations.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A high school diploma or equivalent, with relevant experience in custodial services.
- Strong supervisory skills, including decision-making and effective communication.
- The ability to work well with diverse groups and maintain a positive work environment.
- A valid driver's license and basic computer skills.
