This role will report directly to the Senior Accounting Manager and will oversee accounting initiatives from conception to execution. You will spearhead continuous process enhancements and transformation projects while serving as a subject matter expert, offering mentorship and development for junior accounting staff and support teams. Furthermore, you will collaborate as a strategic business partner with Managers and Executives, delivering high-level assistance to the Accounting leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee accounting initiatives from inception to execution that yield measurable benefits for the organization.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert, providing mentorship and guidance to junior accounting professionals and support teams.
  • Collaborate as a strategic business partner with Managers and Executives, delivering high-level support to the Accounting leadership.
  • Ensure timely completion of financial reports in compliance with GAAP standards, accurately reflecting the financial status.
  • Mentor, advise, and train less-experienced accountants, acting as a point of escalation for complex accounting matters.
  • Undertake additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Economics, Business, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience in Finance and/or Accounting.
  • Public accounting experience is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with GAAP standards.
  • CPA certification or eligibility to sit for the CPA exam.
  • Experience with ERP software.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively to gather, share, verify, and validate information.
  • Proficient in Excel.
