Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and collaborative Risk Assessor – Project Manager to contribute to our initiatives at Moody and Associates, Inc. In this capacity, you will play a crucial role in delivering risk assessment management services to our clientele, aiding in their development and growth. Our clients depend on our specialized knowledge to assess and mitigate potential adverse impacts on human health and ecological systems due to environmental stressors, placing this role at the forefront of achieving these objectives.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Preparing and supervising the creation of human health risk assessments that adhere to regulatory standards, considering environmental regulations.
  • Maintaining client relationships by developing proposals and managing various projects while ensuring adherence to scope, budget, and timelines, all while upholding quality standards.
  • Engaging in business development activities, including attracting new clients and securing repeat business from existing clients, leading proposal efforts, and formulating a business development strategy.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Management, Geology, GeoChemistry, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 4 years of professional experience in regulatory toxicology, consulting, or related fields associated with environmental remediation, permitting projects, or product safety.
  • Experience in developing a business practice in risk assessment or regulatory toxicology, including client engagement and proposal development.
  • Proficiency in managing large-scale projects that involve multiple teams and resources, particularly in investigations related to soil, groundwater, biota, and air quality.
  • A solid understanding of data quality objectives essential for human health and ecological risk assessments, with the ability to collaborate effectively in designing sampling plans.
  • A commitment to delivering exceptional client service and building trust with clients, management, colleagues, and regulatory bodies.
  • The ability to mentor junior staff in technical areas to enhance the overall technical expertise of the team.
Additional Requirements

  • Hold a valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
  • Be able to successfully complete a background check and drug screening.
