American Custom Meats, LLC seeks a skilled and experienced Lead Culinary Specialist to join our team. This role will play a crucial part in ensuring the quality of our products and maintaining a safe working environment.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Cooking Operations: Monitor and adjust cooking machines, including boilers, ovens, fryers, and cookers, to ensure optimal performance and food safety.
  • Recipe Execution: Assist program equipment to operate according to company and recipe standards, making adjustments as necessary to achieve desired results.
  • Problem-Solving: React promptly to alarms or malfunctions, shutting off equipment when required to prevent damage or contamination.
  • Inventory Management: Load raw ingredients into cooking machines and measure quantities according to company recipes and industry standards.
  • Documentation: Comprehend written instructions and recipes from the company to prepare new batches of products.

Requirements:

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Experience: A minimum of 2 years' experience in a Food Processing environment is necessary.

Bonus Qualifications:

  • Mechanical Aptitude: 2-5 years' experience with Meat Processing equipment and processes would be an asset.
  • USDA Training: Knowledge of USDA regulations and guidelines for meat processing is preferred.
  • Linguistic Skills: Bilingualism in Spanish/English would be beneficial in communicating with colleagues and customers.
