Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at Oceans Behavioral Hospital Hammond. As an LPN, you will play a vital role in providing nursing care to patients with common, well-defined health problems. You will work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary healthcare team to implement patient care plans and ensure the highest level of care.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver Quality Nursing Care: Collect data, identify deviations from normal, and assist with reassessing patients according to assignments, need, and unit protocol.
- Accurate Documentation: Thoroughly document all findings in the patient record and identify expected outcomes based on assessment data.
- Implement Care Interventions: Implement nursing care interventions identified in the individualized multidisciplinary treatment plan using accepted standards of practice.
- Medication Administration: Provide for the safe delivery of medications in accordance with facility policies and physician orders.
- Communication and Collaboration: Effectively communicate with other healthcare members, including physicians, registered nurses, and other healthcare providers.
- Preceptorship and Leadership: Guide, educate, and provide leadership as a preceptor to new staff members.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong foundation in nursing principles and practices, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
