Coffee Specialist

Join our team at East Tennessee Children's Hospital in the Food & Nutrition department. This part-time position involves providing exceptional service during daytime hours.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

+ Engage with customers to take beverage orders and process transactions while ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.

+ Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and specialty drinks, adhering to precise standards.

+ Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, including restocking supplies and managing the condiment station.

QUALIFICATIONS

+ Education: High School diploma or GED is required.

+ Experience: Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.

+ Licenses/Certifications: No specific certifications are required, although a Food Safety Certification or equivalent is a plus.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

+ Strong math and cash-handling skills are essential, along with a keen attention to detail and outstanding customer service abilities.

+ Physical capability to lift and maneuver moderately heavy items, with the ability to stand for extended periods and perform tasks that involve bending, squatting, and reaching.

+ Must be adept at multitasking and able to work independently in a dynamic retail environment.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

+ Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions.

+ The role requires medium lifting, pushing, and pulling, with the potential to handle weights ranging from 10 to 50 lbs. Frequent movements such as bending, walking, and standing are necessary, along with possible repetitive motions associated with computer use.
