About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Insurance Billing Coordinator to join our team at Nurture Dental Health PC. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for overseeing, submitting, tracking, and recording all insurance billing for our single-doctor practice.

Responsibilities
  • Submit electronic and manual claims to insurance providers
  • Enter insurance payments and explanation of benefits into patient charts
  • Monitor the insurance aging report to ensure timely payment
  • Collect insurance checks from patients and process payments
  • Send patient statements in cases where payment is warranted
  • Help maintain a clean and organized workspace to ensure efficient operations
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management
Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience in dental insurance billing and coding
  • Experience with Open Dental/Dentrix or similar dental software
  • Strong knowledge of oral surgery, dental, and medical insurance billing and coding
  • High-school diploma or equivalent
  • Determination and persistence in submitting and appealing claims
  • Positive attitude and ability to work effectively with a team
  • Strong focus and attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and anticipation skills
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong computer skills and the ability to learn new programs as required
