We are seeking a highly motivated Dining Services Team Member to join our team at Chartwells Higher Education. This is a part-time position working Monday through Thursday, with flexible scheduling options available.

About the Role:

This role involves preparing, presenting and serving food as needed. As a Dining Services Team Member, you will be responsible for performing prep work such as washing, peeling, cutting and seeding fruits and vegetables. You will also weigh and measure designated ingredients, carry pans, kettles and trays of food to and from work stations, stove and refrigerator in accordance with safety standards.

  • You will store food in designated areas following wrapping, dating, food safety and rotation procedures.
  • Cleanliness is paramount, so you will clean work areas, equipment and utensils to the highest standard.
  • Distribute supplies, utensils and portable equipment as required.
  • Utilize approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures and standard portion control.
  • Serve customers in a friendly, efficient manner following outlined steps of service.

  • Resolving customer concerns and relaying relevant information to your supervisor.
  • Ensuring compliance with company service standards and inventory and cash control procedures.
  • Assuring compliance with all sanitation and safety requirements.
About the Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary of $12.00 per hour to $14.00 per hour, depending on experience.
