Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Certified Medical Assistant to join our team at Ochsner LSU Health System. This is a rewarding opportunity to work in a dynamic patient care environment, providing individualized medical care to assigned patients under the supervision of a licensed healthcare provider.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality patient care services, ensuring patients receive timely and accurate support throughout their visit.
  • Maintain effective communication with patients, providers, and colleagues to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Perform administrative tasks, such as patient registration and documentation, while adhering to industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrate strong clinical knowledge and technical skills, with experience working in fast-paced environments and handling confidential information.
  • Hold current Medical Assistant Certification and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Exhibit excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, with ability to adapt to diverse patient populations and communication styles.

Estimated Salary: $45,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on location and experience.

Physical and Environmental Demands:

  • Medium Work: Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
  • Duties performed routinely require exposure to blood, body fluid, and tissue.
