St. Hubert's Animal Welfare Center seeks a highly motivated and compassionate Animal Welfare Specialist to join our team. In this critical role, you will work closely with our Adoptions Manager to counsel potential adopters through the adoption process. You will be responsible for creating a healthy environment for all animals by monitoring their behavior, maintaining kennel cleanliness, and providing exercise and socialization.

As an Animal Welfare Specialist, your duties will include:

  1. Adoptions
    1. Conduct adoption tours with members of the public, ensuring a seamless experience.
    2. Process adoption documents and protocols efficiently.
    3. Create engaging animal biographies that attract potential adopters.
    4. Cultivate strong relationships with potential adopters through in-person and virtual communication.
  2. Animal Care
    1. Maintain high standards of animal care and welfare, including regular feeding, medication administration, and proper bedding.
    2. Clean and sanitize kennels, rooms, cages, equipment, and areas according to St. Hubert's SOPs.
    3. Bathe or clean animals as needed to ensure their well-being.
    4. Exercise and socialize animals regularly while adhering to shelter policies.
    5. Monitor animal behavior, document unusual observations, and communicate vital information to relevant departments.
    6. Handle animals safely, including those that are ill, injured, quarantined, or aggressive.

Estimated Salary: $55,000 - $65,000 per annum, depending on experience.
