Pain Management Nurse Practitioner Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Pain Management Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team at Blackbird Recruiting. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive pain management services to patients, collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough health histories and physical examinations to develop comprehensive treatment plans
  • Prescribe and manage pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatments for chronic and acute pain
  • Provide education and counseling to patients on pain management therapies, medication side effects, and compliance with treatment regimens
  • Care for patients with chronic pain, including developing and implementing individualized treatment plans
  • Prescribe medications appropriate to treatment plans and check the Prescription Monitoring Program (PMP) for prescriber safety
  • Consult with physicians to develop effective treatment plans for each patient
Qualifications:
  • Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
  • Ability to develop and implement comprehensive pain management plans
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to providing patient-centered care with empathy and compassion
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented healthcare environment
  • Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN)
  • Current state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or equivalent
  • Basic Life Support Certification (BLS)
  • Active DEA registration
Travel Requirements:

Travel is required throughout Long Island, NYC, Rockland Co., and Orange Co.
