Qualifications We Seek

  • Experience as a veterinary technician
  • Solid understanding of patient care, including examinations, surgical procedures, dental services, and managing hospitalized cases
  • Capability to lift up to 50 lbs. and remain on your feet for extended periods
  • Proficiency in safely restraining animals and collecting blood samples
  • Excellent communication, time management, and customer service abilities

While we prefer candidates with at least one year of surgical assisting experience, we are willing to train the right individual. Familiarity with taking X-rays, performing dental cleanings, or using veterinary software would be advantageous.


Your Daily Responsibilities

In this role, you will work hours per week, with no weekend shifts. Our clinic operates:

  • Monday and Wednesday from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm
  • Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm

Each day presents unique challenges, and you will collaborate closely with our animal care team to perform essential tasks such as taking X-rays, placing IVs and catheters, and conducting venipuncture. You will assist in surgical preparations, support veterinarians during various procedures, and ensure patient safety through proper restraint techniques.

In addition to treatment responsibilities, you will also engage in front desk duties, including answering calls, scheduling appointments, and maintaining health records. With a positive demeanor, you will communicate with pet owners about common health issues and provide guidance on preventative care. You will also help maintain a clean and welcoming environment for our animal patients by managing enclosures, laundry, feeding, and walking the animals. Regardless of your task, you will take pride in making a positive difference.
