Aircraft Maintenance Specialist Job Description

Vertex Aerospace LLC is seeking a highly skilled Aircraft Maintenance Specialist to join our team. As an Aircraft Maintenance Specialist, you will be responsible for performing repairs, modifications, and installations on T-1A and C-12 aircraft.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Repair and Maintenance: Perform tasks as assigned by Maintenance Supervisors and/or Site Managers, utilizing instructions, technical data, manuals, and directives.
  • Discrepancy Evaluation: Evaluate aircraft discrepancies to identify proper repair methods and identify necessary parts, materials, and tooling requirements.
  • Modification and Installation: Utilize manufacturers' maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and other applicable publications to install, test, troubleshoot, and ensure aircraft modifications are accomplished promptly.
  • Corrosion Inspection and Repair: Inspect for corrosion, treat and repair discrepancies, and perform touch-up painting and apply decals and labels.
  • Engine Maintenance: Remove and replace engines, accomplish engine rigging and test.
Requirements:
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: 5+ years C-12 (A200/B200/B300/1900) experience, 5+ years Pratt & Whitney turboprop engine experience (PT6A-41, PT6A-42, PT6A-60, PT6A-65), and 5+ years Pratt & Whitney jet engine experience (JT15D-5).
  • Licenses and Certifications: Airframe and Power Plant (A&P) license required.
