Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Accountant with a strong background in financial analysis, accounting principles, and SQL expertise to join our team at Jobot.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and forecasts to provide insights into the company's financial performance.
  • Conduct variance analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.
  • Assist in the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Develop and maintain SQL queries, scripts, and stored procedures to extract, manipulate, and analyze financial data from various databases and systems.
  • Perform data validation and reconciliation to ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial information.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to automate routine tasks and improve data quality and efficiency using SQL.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify inefficiencies and bottlenecks in financial processes.
  • Utilize SQL and data analysis techniques to identify root causes and develop solutions for process optimization.
  • Implement best practices and standardized procedures to enhance the accuracy, timeliness, and effectiveness of financial operations.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Assist in internal and external audits by providing accurate and timely financial data and documentation.
  • Identify and mitigate financial risks through proactive analysis and controls implementation.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in accounting or finance roles, with a focus on financial analysis and reporting.
  • Proficiency in SQL with demonstrated experience in writing complex queries and manipulating large datasets.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights.
  • Experience with process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and levels of the organization.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and integrity in financial reporting.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
