Senior Tax Analyst Job Description

At Icahn Automotive Group LLC, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Tax Analyst to join our team. As a Senior Tax Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting the income tax compliance and financial reporting functions of the company.

Key Responsibilities:
  • ASC 740 Quarterly and Annual Income Tax Provision: Assist with the preparation and analysis of the company's quarterly and annual income tax provision.
  • Book-to-Tax Adjustments: Prepare book-to-tax adjustments and compile supporting schedules relative to the company's income/franchise tax filings.
  • Tax Compliance Services: Coordinate tax compliance services with third-party service providers and recommend improvements to tax processes.
  • Special Projects: Participate in special projects, including research of tax laws, preparation of analysis for alternative strategies, and documentation of findings and conclusions.
  • Tax Account Analysis: Perform monthly analysis for tax accounts, including reconciliation to tax provision analysis.
  • Quarterly Estimated Tax Payments: Prepare quarterly estimated tax payments and year-end extension requests.
  • Tax Examinations: Assist with tax examinations and inquiries from taxing authorities.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
  • Experience: 5-7 years of experience with a Big 4 or mid-sized public accounting firm, or similar experience with a publicly traded or privately held company, with concentration in ASC740 accounting for income taxes.
  • Skills: Solid understanding of GAAP and tax accounting principles, broad exposure to Federal and State corporate income tax rules and regulations, proficient computer skills with knowledge of tax technology, systems, and software matters.
