SmileMD is a specialized anesthesia group dedicated to providing care for the pediatric Medicaid demographic within dental settings. Our commitment is to ensure timely access to necessary medical services for children who would otherwise face prolonged wait times in hospital environments. With operations across multiple states and a significant annual case volume, we prioritize the needs of our young patients.
The PACU RN plays an essential role within our Care Team, responsible for the supervision and monitoring of pediatric patients during their recovery phase following sedation. The ideal candidate will possess experience in caring for pediatric patients in a post-anesthesia care unit (PACU). Our work schedules are designed to offer flexibility, with no requirements for Sunday or evening shifts.

Key Responsibilities- Deliver age-appropriate pediatric care throughout the pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative phases.
- Assess and document patient responses to treatments and interventions.
- Complete necessary paperwork and maintain accurate patient records.
- Exhibit effective interpersonal skills in interactions with patients, families, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.
- Utilize technology for tracking, documenting, and reporting patient care activities.
- Communicate effectively with patients, parents, client offices, and various healthcare team members.
- Conduct medical reviews of patient records for surgical clearance.
- Travel regionally to provide patient care at designated office locations.
- Active RN license in Ohio.
- BLS Certification with the ability to obtain ACLS and PALS Certifications within the first month of employment.
- Strong patient care capabilities.
- Experience in pediatric PACU settings.
- Willingness to travel within the designated region.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail.
- Proficient in accurately entering patient information into electronic medical records (EMR).
- Employment is contingent upon successful completion of the company credentialing process and satisfactory background check results.
