Schedule and Compensation

This full-time Diagnostic Imaging Technologist position offers a competitive salary, ranging from $45,000 to $65,000 per year, depending on experience. Our benefits package includes medical, dental, and vision options, as well as retirement savings plans and paid time off.

As a PRN (per diem) Diagnostic Imaging Technologist, you'll earn a competitive hourly rate, with opportunities for overtime and bonuses. We also offer a 401K plan with company contribution and no-cost office visits, along with generous discounts on billable services.

Job Description

We're seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Technologist to join our team at Baptist Health Urgent Care. As a Diagnostic Imaging Technologist, you'll be responsible for performing x-ray testing, including body mechanics and patient movement, using your knowledge of anatomy and physiology. You'll also operate diagnostic equipment, develop film, and prepare the room with necessary equipment and supplies.

Your duties will include:

  • Promptly greeting patients when entering waiting area, exam room, or laboratory/x-ray room
  • Consistently communicating with patients on wait times and providing direction to the next step in the treatment process
  • Providing solutions to patient problems and recognizing and seeking help in emergent/hazardous situations
  • Executing follow-up calls with a sense of urgency
  • Assisting front desk personnel with patient check-in/out procedures when necessary
  • Obtaining and accurately documenting patient vital signs and weight, taking brief history, past medical, family, and social history, current medications, allergies, and other pertinent historical information as appropriate
  • Assisting with patient transfers
  • Assisting with procedures directly supervised by the provider
  • Following documentation procedures and completing required documentation related to patient visit
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • BLS Certification
  • AR State X-Ray License
  • ARRT Certification is preferred
  • Experience as a Medical Assistant is preferred
