RN - Transport - Per Diem - Nights - Critical Care Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Transport RN to join our team at Memorial Healthcare System. As a Transport RN, you will be responsible for providing critical care to patients during inter-facility transport via ambulance or fixed wing.
Responsibilities- Organize and coordinate nursing care activities, prioritizing the needs of patients.
- Implement patient population-specific interventions based on individual patient needs.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of care and care coordination, progressing patients toward desired outcomes.
- Demonstrate leadership in the delivery of patient care.
- Assess the physical, psychological, social, and cultural dimensions of patients according to professional practice standards and institutional policy/procedure.
- Provide a safe environment and safe delivery of care.
- Three (3) years of Neonatal or Pediatric critical care or ED experience required.
- CCRN – Critical Care Registered Nurse Certification or C-NPT – Certified Neonatal and Pediatric Transport Certification PFCCS –Pediatric Fundamental Critical Care Support within (2) years of hire.
- ACLS is required within 6 months of hire.
This role requires critical thinking skills, effective communication, decisive judgment, and the ability to build and foster positive relationships. The incumbent must be able to lead others and take appropriate action when required. Must be able to safely and securely fasten seat belts and shoulder harnesses in aircraft or ambulance, as provided by the aircraft or ambulance manufacturer, without modification to those safety devices.
Able to tolerate stressors of flight and medical transport, including, but not limited to: excessive motion, vibration, extreme temperatures, standing or sitting for prolonged periods, frequent walking, bending/stooping and providing patient care in confined spaces.
Able to respond to visual, verbal and non-verbal commands and communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Must be able to lift/push/pull a minimum of 150 lbs. May be exposed to hazardous chemicals, blood/body fluids and infectious diseases.
