About the Job

We are seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at North Knoxville Medical Center. As an MRI Technologist, you will play a vital role in providing quality care to our patients by performing and assisting with advanced Magnetic Resonance applications for medical cross-sectional imaging.

Responsibilities
  • Operate a magnetic resonance scanner to obtain images used by physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of pathologies.
  • Select appropriate imaging techniques and operate console and peripheral hardware.
  • Enter and monitor patient data, transfer images from disk to magnetic media to produce the transparency, and develop film in an automatic processor.
  • Provide appropriate patient care and recognize patient conditions essential for successful completion of the procedure.
  • Understand and practice MRI safety principles to ensure a safe environment for patients, self, and others.
Requirements
  • Current BLS from AHA or ARC.
  • Bachelor's degree in area of specialty and at least 1 year of experience in the field or in a related area.
  • Requires registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (A.R.R.T.).
  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
