Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at East Tennessee Children's Hospital. As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for performing a variety of MRI procedures to diagnose disease processes and delineate normal and abnormal anatomy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate MRI scanner and auxiliary equipment to produce high-quality images
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including alternate shifts and on-call coverage
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge and skill levels in MRI technology and safety procedures
  • Ensure patient safety and comfort during procedures
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses
  • Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure high-quality imaging
  • Develop and maintain effective communication skills to interact with patients, families, and healthcare teams
Requirements
  • Completion of an accredited Health Science program
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiographic Technology (ARRT) with MRI certification preferred
  • 1 year general radiology experience required, with 3-5 years of experience or equivalent with 2 years MRI experience preferred
Working Conditions

This position requires frequent sitting, walking, standing, squatting, bending, and reaching. Keyboard/computer use and/or repetitive motions may be required.
