Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the innovation, definition, and strategic roadmap for A/B testing and recommendation experiments to enhance story discovery and subscription growth.
  • Utilize sophisticated algorithms, machine learning principles, and recommendation systems to boost user engagement and satisfaction across our mobile platforms.
  • Formulate and implement the product strategy for personalized features across our Inkitt, Galatea, and GalateaTV applications, ensuring alignment with overarching business objectives and crafting tailored experiences for our audience.
  • Guide a small, cross-functional team to explore, execute, refine, and deliver exceptional search and recommendation functionalities.
  • With a profound understanding of user needs and challenges, collaborate with our Data Science team to establish a long-term strategy and advocate for customer interests consistently.
  • Establish performance metrics and make informed product and strategic decisions based on A/B testing results and qualitative insights.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 5 years of demonstrated experience in product management, with a strong background in developing or overseeing data-driven software solutions.
  • Expertise in areas such as search algorithms, recommendation systems, personalization, data analytics, statistics, machine learning, information architecture, and consumer behavior.
  • Experience in creating or managing data-driven software products.
  • Startup mentality: Proactive and capable of thriving in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment.
  • Innovative thinker: Proven ability to identify business challenges or product deficiencies and devise creative solutions. Passionate about designing and developing impactful products.
  • Technical proficiency: Strong understanding of the mechanics behind recommendation systems.
  • Empathetic approach: Deeply attuned to the needs of our readers, writers, engineers, designers, and business stakeholders.
  • Location: Onsite in San Francisco, CA.
