Pennswood Village is currently looking for a dedicated Patient Care Technician to join our esteemed 5-star Skilled Nursing Unit. We pride ourselves on maintaining excellent staffing ratios to ensure quality care.
Role Overview: The Patient Care Technician will work under the supervision of the nurse-in-charge, providing essential personal care services to our residents in Skilled Nursing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver personal care services in accordance with established nursing policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate and objective communication through the problem-oriented record system.
- Plan and execute patient care assignments, assisting residents with daily living activities.
- Engage in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individual patient care plans as part of a collaborative team.
- Uphold and advocate for the personal rights of all patients, ensuring adherence to the Patient's Bill of Rights.
- Establish safe and effective working habits in delivering patient care.
- Participate in ongoing educational opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills.
- Assist in orienting new staff members.
- Contribute to the development of Health Service programs.
- Actively monitor medical alert and fire alarm systems.
