Pennswood Village is currently looking for a dedicated Patient Care Technician to join our esteemed 5-star Skilled Nursing Unit. We pride ourselves on maintaining excellent staffing ratios to ensure quality care.

Role Overview: The Patient Care Technician will work under the supervision of the nurse-in-charge, providing essential personal care services to our residents in Skilled Nursing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver personal care services in accordance with established nursing policies and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate and objective communication through the problem-oriented record system.
  • Plan and execute patient care assignments, assisting residents with daily living activities.
  • Engage in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individual patient care plans as part of a collaborative team.
  • Uphold and advocate for the personal rights of all patients, ensuring adherence to the Patient's Bill of Rights.
  • Establish safe and effective working habits in delivering patient care.
  • Participate in ongoing educational opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills.
  • Assist in orienting new staff members.
  • Contribute to the development of Health Service programs.
  • Actively monitor medical alert and fire alarm systems.
