Patient Care Technician

The Gap Year Patient Care Technician plays a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN). This dynamic individual will perform a range of patient care tasks and procedures to ensure the comfort, safety, and well-being of patients.
Key Responsibilities:
• Performs patient care tasks and procedures under the supervision of the RN, adhering to established procedures and protocols.
• Provides evidence of successful completion of EKG training within three months of position start date.
• Completes the Care Companion Course within three months of position start date when required by the department.
• Maintains current CPR certification issued by either the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Obtains CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification within three months of position start date.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Successfully completes and provides evidence of Phlebotomy training.
