ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

Roehm America is set to launch a significant chemical manufacturing facility in Bay City, TX. We are in search of a proactive IT professional to oversee the delivery of IT services for local users and manage the IT requirements of a newly acquired administrative facility. The new hire will collaborate with Plant Process Engineers to explore digitalization opportunities and support demand development in line with Roehm's global processes.

  • Oversee the provision of defined IT services for the new Bay City facility.
  • Ensure project execution aligns with global, regional, and local strategies, providing guidance to the local team while adhering to budget and timelines.
  • Manage local business demands for new IT solutions and lead projects across the regional and global IT organization.
  • Ensure IT solutions comply with established guidelines, security standards, and procedures.
  • Collaborate with local teams to define and implement business continuity strategies.
  • Handle daily IT service support and operational tasks, including incident, problem, configuration, change, and release management.
  • Facilitate effective communication and coordination with global, regional, and local IT teams for seamless execution.
  • Act as a liaison with local IT personnel, regional demand managers, service providers, and centralized service desks.
  • Ensure adherence to local, regional, and global compliance standards and processes.
  • Lead process optimization sessions to enhance service delivery.
  • Build strong relationships with business partners and IT groups at all levels.
  • Engage with manufacturing site leaders to identify IT needs and opportunities for service enhancements.
  • Maintain a visible IT presence at the Bay City facility.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a computer-related field with over 3 years of experience in IT project implementation.
  • Proficient in Local Area and Wide Area Networks (LAN/WAN) and wireless networks (WLAN).
  • Familiarity with MS Azure cloud services, M365, Teams telephony, and mobility technologies.
  • Experience with Azure cloud infrastructure, including AAD, DNS, DHCP, SSL, and CISCO.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and client relationship management experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience working in diverse teams.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism in high-pressure situations.
  • This position requires on-site presence for the majority of the week during training and facility stabilization.
  • Willingness to travel domestically as needed after facility start-up.
  • In alignment with global IT strategy, identify and lead projects that implement new technologies to enhance efficiency and service offerings.
  • Support the expansion of successful digital initiatives across global Roehm facilities.
  • Monitor external suppliers within the scope of responsibility.
  • Share knowledge and provide training across Roehm locations.
