Welder Opportunity

Elwood Staffing is seeking a skilled welder to join our team at CS Wind, a leading provider of sustainable energy solutions. As a welder, you will play a critical role in the fabrication of wind turbine components.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform welding tasks using gas metal arc welding (GMAC), flux core arc welding (FCAW), shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), submerged arc welding (SAW), and flame/plasma gouging
  • Setup and operate manual welding, automated welding, and flame/plasma cutting equipment
  • Prepare welding joints and repair surface/weld imperfections using flame/plasma cutting equipment and grinding
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work environment by following all safety protocols and performing routine housekeeping and workplace organization

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years welding experience in a heavy fabrication industry or combination of Welding courses and welding work experience through an accredited technical school or apprentice program
  • Ability to read and interpret production drawings and technical work instructions
  • Must be able to work weekend shifts and various hours, including nights and weekends
