Requirements
  • Basic Life Skills (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree and 2 years of nursing experience
  • Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner's Certificate is preferred
Preferred Qualifications
  • Valid nursing license issued by the Texas State Board of Nursing or a compact state
Key Responsibilities
  • Comprehensive knowledge of nursing standards and practices in accordance with the American Nurses Association (ANA) scope and standards of practice
  • Adherence to forensic practices guided by the International Association of Forensic Nurses
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to exercise independent judgment
Interactions and Relationships

This role will interact with hospital department leaders, employees, patients, and their families. You may be required to attend court and meetings offsite of the hospital campus.
