About the Role

Amergis is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Behavior Technician to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing educational and behavioral services to children with special needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement behavior management techniques to prevent, intervene, and address challenging behaviors
  • Collaborate with BCBA, teachers, and program supervisors to develop and implement behavior intervention plans
  • Provide crisis intervention and support to students in various settings
  • Assist in facilitating academic instruction and supporting students in developing independent daily living skills
  • Collect and analyze behavioral and academic data to inform instruction and support student growth
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Two years of pediatric experience preferred
  • Compliance with all relevant professional standards of practice
  • Participation in Amergis's Competency program when applicable
  • Current CPR and TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest x-ray if applicable
  • Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
  • Successful completion of new hire training as applicable to job site
