Position Overview:

The RTX Technology Research Center is seeking a dedicated Research Technician to join our High Temperature Materials Team. This role involves engaging with a diverse group of experts focused on the development of innovative materials for aerospace and defense sectors.


Key Responsibilities:
As a Research Technician, you will:

  • Engage in the synthesis and preparation of advanced high-temperature materials and coating feedstocks.
  • Operate and maintain high-temperature furnaces and specialized testing rigs.
  • Document and communicate experimental findings effectively.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:
  • A solid understanding of laboratory equipment operation and maintenance related to high-temperature materials.
  • Experience with instrumentation for measuring temperatures, pressures, and fluid flows.
  • Proven organizational skills for maintaining accurate laboratory records.
  • Strong technical judgment and the ability to work independently or collaboratively.
  • Eligibility as a U.S. Person or ability to obtain necessary export authorizations.

Preferred Skills:
Additional qualifications that would be beneficial include:
  • Hands-on experience with programming laboratory equipment.
  • Knowledge of electronics and low-voltage wiring.
  • Experience with data acquisition tools.
  • A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.

Education Requirements:
A diploma with a minimum of 10 years of experience or an AA/AS degree with at least 6 years of relevant experience is required.
